Senior / Lead Node.js Developer – SaaS Company (Manchester)
Location: Manchester (Hybrid – 2-3 days in the office)
Type: Permanent
Salary: £80,000 – £90,000 + Benefits

Are you an experienced Node.js Developer with a passion for building scalable, cloud-based applications? Our client, a fast-growing SaaS company in Manchester, is seeking a Senior / Lead Node.js Developer to join their engineering team and play a key role in shaping their product roadmap.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the design and development of high-quality, scalable backend solutions using Node.js and TypeScript

• Mentor and support other developers, driving best practices and technical excellence

• Work in a modern cloud environment with GCP / AWS / Azure services

• Contribute to DevOps adoption, CI/CD pipelines, and containerisation with Docker

• Collaborate on integrating AI/ML solutions to enhance product features and customer experience

Tech Stack / Experience Needed

• Strong commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript

• 3+ years’ experience with a modern frontend framework (React, Angular, or Vue.js)

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or AWS CloudFormation)

• Hands-on experience with Docker

• Solid knowledge of GCP, AWS, or Azure

• Proven track record building and scaling SaaS applications (5+ years)

• Experience with AI frameworks, APIs, or services (desirable)

• Strong understanding of Agile practices
